UN Women in Bangladesh supports the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs and Ministry of Finance to reinforce government’s ongoing GRB mechanism to ensure adequate financing for gender equality and women’s empowerment. We are developing trainings and orientation programmes for government officials and a GRB monitoring and evaluation framework to measure progress of GRB interventions in the country. Ministry of Women and Children Affairs will be supported to pilot a database for administrative data which will be sex-disaggregated and participatory gender responsive budgeting in local government institutions.
