In India, the Gender Responsive Governance Programme empowers over half a million elected women representatives in six states to make public policy responsive to women. With a partnership between the Royal Government of Norway, the Ministry of Panchayati Raj & Rural Development and UN Women, the programme helps to ensure that elected representatives have better knowledge of women’s rights.
