Regional Workshops on Promoting the Rights to Nationality for Women and Children in Implementation of CEDAW and CRC in ASEAN
Event description
General Objectives:
The workshops will contribute to the promotion of the implementation of common issues in CEDAW and CRC Concluding Observations effectively at regional and at national levels in order to enhance the promotion and protection of women’s and children’s rights.
Participants:
- AMS including ACWC representatives, selected CSOs and ASEC;
- Special Representative of the Secretary General on Violence against Children, CRC and CEDAW Committee experts,
- Delegates from UN Agencies at regional and national leves, CIDA, potential partners/donors or INGOs in Viet Nam;
- Vietnamese participants: from Departments under MOLISA, the National Assembly’s Committee on Social Affairs/Youth, Children and Education, AICHR representative in Vietnam,National Women’s Caucus other relevant Ministries, including the Minsitry of Justice, sectors, NGOs for the rights of women and children from ACWC’s network in Vietnam.
