Event description

How to Catalyze Business Action for Women’s Empowerment

When more women work, economies grow. 2015 data shows that if men and women played an identical role in labour markets, as much as USD 28 trillion, or 26 per cent, could be added to the global GDP. In this session, UN Women will launch and share findings from the United Nations Secretary-General High-Level Panel latest reports focused on Women’s Economic Empowerment and business culture in the Asia Pacific region. Companies will share practical case studies of how they have promoted Women’s Empowerment at every level of the value chain from attracting top talent to generating positive reputational value to encourage consumer spending.
