In conjunction with this year’s United Nations Day Asia-Pacific commemoration, the UN is organizing a photo contest themed “Building A Stronger, Safer and More Sustainable Asia-Pacific.”
The contest is open to photographers of all ages, backgrounds and skills. Photo submissions must be based on challenges faced by communities in the Asia-Pacific region, or the approaches they are taking to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals on clean water and sanitation, affordable and clean energy, sustainable cities and communities, responsible consumption and production, and life on land.
The contest will be judged in four categories: Judges’ Favourite, Young Photographers, Most Popular (on Social Media) and UN Staff. Winning entries will be exhibited at the UN Conference Centre in Bangkok during the UN Day Asia-Pacific 2017 commemoration and at the 5th Asia-Pacific Forum for Sustainable Development in 2018. Contest closes on 12 October 2017.
