Public-Private partnership in Thailand for sustainable social welfare in support of HeForShe

Bangkok, Thailand – Procter & Gamble Trading Thailand Ltd (P&G Thailand) continues to support UN Women’s HeForShe solidarity movement in its quest to recognize men and boys as partners for women’s rights and gender equality, at the Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition 2016 in Bangkok: Public-Private-Civil Society partnership for Sustainable Social Welfare.

On 17^th August, P&G set a HeForShe exhibition booth at Vayupak Convention Center in the Bangkok Central Government Center Complex Changwattana, in order to increase the number of HeForShe online commitments during the conference and exhibition, which objective was to empower the partnership for an effective driving of social development and welfare plan. 600 senior executives from the public sector, private sector and civil society attended the event.

Mr. Maitri Inthusut, Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Social Development and Human Security in Thailand, presided the opening ceremony and visited the HeForShe exhibition booth, where he signed up his HeForShe online commitment and was ‘pinned’ as HeForShe advocate. Mr. Vitat Techaboon, Deputy Permanent Secretary, also showed his support to the HeForShe movement.
