Working with men and boys in gender based violence prevention
UN Women is working with the Da Nang Youth Union in a project focused on capacity building the Youth’s Union to work with their members in awareness raising activities to promote positive actions toward ending violence against women and girls in Viet Nam.
Some of the activities include after school discussion groups for boys organized to discuss gender related issues such as masculinity, gender equality as well as practices for harmonizing the relationship at school and in family. The project emphasizes the role of young men in the prevention of Gender Based Violence within the wider community.
