Partners for Prevention Reports and Evaluations
Partners for Prevention (P4P) was a landmark regional joint programme implemented by UNDP, UNFPA, UN Women and UNV between 2008 and 2017, with funding support from the Australian Government. The initiative aimed to prevent violence against women and children by addressing its root causes—particularly harmful norms around masculinity and gender inequality—through primary prevention efforts that engaged boys and men.
As one of the first multi-country efforts in Asia and the Pacific focused on prevention, P4P played a pioneering role in advancing evidence-based policy advocacy, capacity development, and communications for social change. The programme worked across national borders to facilitate regional learning and collaboration, while also anchoring its approach in local realities and civil society leadership.
