This manual is designed to support organizational staff in effectively engaging volunteers to end violence against women and girls (EVAW/G) in Cambodia. It provides practical guidance on the value of volunteerism and equips organizations with the tools to plan, recruit, support, and evaluate volunteer engagement. Divided into five sections, the manual covers key areas including the benefits of working with volunteers to EVAW/G, strategic planning for volunteer involvement, recruitment processes, volunteer management and motivation, and monitoring and evaluation of volunteer programmes. Whether developing a new volunteer programme or strengthening an existing one, this manual offers step-by-step guidance tailored to the Cambodian context. This publication was produced under the UN Joint Programme Partners for Prevention (2008–2017) implemented by UNDP, UNFPA, UN Women, and UNV, with support from Australia.
