Reimay: Reaching Papuan Prosperity - Adolescent Manual
This workshop manual is designed for facilitators working with adolescents aged 12–16 in the early stages of adolescence. As part of a broader intervention, the manual supports young people to develop gender-equitable attitudes, healthy communication skills, and non-violent relationship practices. It also helps them manage stress, resist peer pressure, and make values-based decisions. The programme is delivered through participatory methods, encouraging critical reflection, peer learning, and community engagement. The manual includes guidance for facilitator recruitment, training, and support, as well as strategies for mobilizing community involvement and implementing youth-led service projects. Designed to be implemented alongside a complementary programme for caregivers, this adolescent component is a key tool for primary prevention of violence and promotion of gender equality. This publication was produced under the UN Joint Programme Partners for Prevention (2008–2017) implemented by UNDP, UNFPA, UN Women, and UNV, with support from Australia.
