UN Women Asia-Pacific Regional Strategy on VAW Prevention 2020-2025 (Draft)
UN Women is guided by its Asia-Pacific Regional Strategy on VAW Prevention 2020-2025. This strategy draws upon and aligns with the global framework RESPECT Women: Preventing Violence against Women. The strategy was developed following a review of data on VAWG patterns and drivers in the Asia Pacific; mapping of VAWG prevention actors, programmes and evidence in the region; review of UN, global and regional strategies and frameworks; analysis of UN Women’s capabilities; analysis of the prevention landscape and opportunities in the region; and consultations with UN Women offices, donors and partners.
