This Gender Analysis Snapshot highlights key gender findings and priority actions emerging from a Rapid Gender Analysis conducted by a local member organization of the Myanmar Gender in Humanitarian Action (GiHA) Working Group. The analysis draws on participatory research with more than 300 respondents across several townships in Central Rakhine State, including focus group discussions, key informant interviews, and community mapping exercises.

The snapshot provides insights into gender roles, vulnerabilities and protection risks affecting women, men, girls, boys and LGBTIQ+ persons in conflict-affected communities. It highlights how restrictive gender norms, movement constraints and deteriorating economic conditions are shaping access to resources, livelihoods and decision-making.

Designed as a practical reference for humanitarian actors, the snapshot translates locally generated evidence into key gender insights and priority actions to support more inclusive and gender-responsive humanitarian programming in Myanmar.
