Gendered Climate Risk Dashboard: EmPower Districts in Bangladesh
The Gendered Climate Risk Dashboard is an interactive geospatial platform designed for government agencies, planners and policymakers, development partners, and local stakeholders working on climate adaptation and disaster risk reduction in Bangladesh.
Developed by the Bangladesh Center for Communication Programs (BCCP) under the UN Women-UN Environment Programme EmPower: Women for Climate-Resilient Societies programme, the dashboard brings together climate-hazard, socio-economic, infrastructure, service-access, and gender-vulnerability data to present key findings from the gendered climate risk assessment across 10 selected upazilas.
It supports evidence-based decision-making by making complex climate and gender data easy to explore and compare. Users can identify risk patterns, understand how gender inequalities shape vulnerability, and inform gender-responsive climate adaptation and disaster risk reduction (DRR) actions.
By consolidating fragmented data into a single, accessible platform, it helps users better interpret climate risks and prioritize targeted interventions.
