Practical Guidance for an Interactive and Whole-of-Society Approach to Designing Care Delivery Models - Case Study: Caring Cities Nepal
This Guidance Note is based on care delivery models developed during a Training‑of‑Trainers Workshop on designing and financing gender‑responsive care models. The workshop was held in Kathmandu, Nepal, from 27 to 29 May 2025. It was jointly organized by the UN Women Knowledge and Partnerships Centre in the Republic of Korea, the UN Women Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific, and the UN Women Nepal Country Office.
The training was led by UN Women, the United Nations agency that works to promote gender equality and empower women and girls worldwide. It was also supported by Bopinc (Base of the Pyramid Innovation Center), a non‑profit organization based in the Netherlands that helps develop inclusive business solutions for low‑income communities.
This Guidance Note is for policymakers and others working in the care sector. This includes civil society organizations, women’s organizations, public and private care providers, entrepreneurship support organizations, and other groups involved in designing and delivering care services. The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family of the Republic of Korea provided generous funding to support the development of this Guidance Note.
