First Movers SOEs: Advancing Family-Friendly Workplaces in Indonesia
Women’s Empowerment Principles Corporate Action Lab (WEPs CAL) Indonesia is an acceleration programme aimed at advancing the translation of gender equality commitments into corporate policies and operational practices within State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs). The programme is implemented by UN Women together with Danantara Indonesia and Srikandi Danantara, with support from the Government of Australia, as a follow-up to the Memorandum of Understanding between UN Women and Srikandi Danantara signed in February 2025.
This publication presents the assessment findings, key lessons learned, and solutions developed throughout the implementation of WEPs CAL Indonesia. Based on assessments conducted using the WEPs Gender Gap Analysis Tool (WEPs GAT Tool), the programme identified key challenges and opportunities in strengthening Family-Friendly Workplace policies and practices across SOEs. Through an acceleration process involving participating companies from various sectors, the publication highlights data-driven approaches, leadership commitment, and the integration of Human Capital strategies in fostering more inclusive and gender-responsive workplaces.
In addition to documenting initiatives developed by participating companies, this publication also demonstrates how advancing gender equality can contribute to employee well-being, talent retention, and organizational sustainability.

Capaian Program WEPs Corporate Action Lab - Cohort 1
Women’s Empowerment Principles Corporate Action Lab (WEPs CAL) Indonesia merupakan program akselerasi yang bertujuan mempercepat penerjemahan komitmen kesetaraan gender ke dalam kebijakan dan praktik operasional perusahaan di Badan Usaha Milik Negara (BUMN). Program ini dilaksanakan oleh UN Women bersama Danantara Indonesia dan Srikandi Danantara, dengan dukungan Pemerintah Australia, sebagai tindak lanjut dari Nota Kesepahaman antara UN Women dan Srikandi Danantara pada Februari 2025.
Publikasi ini merangkum hasil asesmen, pembelajaran utama, serta solusi yang dikembangkan selama pelaksanaan WEPs CAL Indonesia. Berdasarkan asesmen menggunakan WEPs Gender Gap Analysis Tool (WEPs GAT Tool), program ini mengidentifikasi berbagai tantangan dan peluang dalam penguatan kebijakan dan praktik Tempat Kerja Ramah Keluarga di lingkungan BUMN. Melalui proses akselerasi yang melibatkan perusahaan peserta dari berbagai sektor, publikasi ini menyoroti pendekatan berbasis data, penguatan kepemimpinan, serta integrasi strategi Human Capital dalam mendorong lingkungan kerja yang lebih inklusif dan responsif gender.
Selain mendokumentasikan praktik dan inisiatif yang dikembangkan oleh perusahaan peserta, publikasi ini juga menunjukkan bagaimana penerapan prinsip kesetaraan gender dapat mendukung kesejahteraan karyawan, retensi talenta, dan keberlanjutan organisasi.
