Gender Alert: Bangladesh Monsoon Flood, Flash Flood and Landslide Risks

The Gender Alert underscores the differentiated impacts of monsoon flooding, flash floods and landslide risks on women, girls and other groups facing heightened vulnerability, while outlining urgent actions for government, humanitarian and development partners. It is designed to support immediate preparedness and response efforts in priority districts by strengthening gender-responsive risk analysis, targeted interventions and coordination. 

The alert is informed by situation reports from local Gender in Humanitarian Action (GiHA) chapters in Kurigram, Sylhet, Sunamganj and Chattogram, as well as the Inter-Sector Flash Flood Update by RCP and flash updates from the Needs Assessment Working Group.
