UNCT-SWAP Gender Equality Scorecard: Regional Training Workshop for UNCTs in the Asia and the Pacific

To further support the implementation of the UNCT-SWAP Gender Equality Scorecard in the Asia-Pacific region in the context of the United Nations Development Assistance Framework (UNDAF) and the repositioning of the UN Development System, UN Women in collaboration with the UNFPA APRO and the UNSDG Asia-Pacific are organizing the UNCT-SWAP Gender Equality Scorecard capacity building training in Bangkok, Thailand on Monday-Tuesday 11-12 March 2019.

The UN Country Teams (UNCTs) in the Asia-Pacific region nominate the participants for this Workshop, who are chair/co-chair of the Gender Theme Group or equivalent, and one staff from the Office of the Resident Coordinator.

There are three main objectives of the training. By the end of the Workshop, the participants will:

• Have a full understanding of the UNCT-SWAP Gender Equality Scorecard and how to assess and report on its fifteen performance indicators;
• Benefit from the lessons learned in the early stages of implementation of the new UNCT-SWAP Gender Equality Scorecard;
• and Identify key steps/support needs for rolling out the new UNCT SWAP Gender Equality Scorecard in the context of the UNDAF.
