UN System Wide Talent Marketplace - from UNDP's experience: In order for UNDP to meet its organizational priorities, the Office for Human Resources (OHR), the Crisis Bureau and the Bureau for Programme and Policy Support expanded its deployment mechanisms by launching a Global Talent Marketplace in 2024.

This innovative marketplace leverages both the internal workforce and consultancy rosters to quickly identify and deploy critical human resources, ensuring that UNDP is equipped with the right talent to drive impactful results across its global mission. It is accompanied by a skills mapping widget.

The Marketplace runs on an award-winning platform – EVA.ai, using AI, Machine Learning, and Robotic Process Automation (RPA). In 2024, over 2,700 experts were deployed through this Talent Marketplace and it also received the Innovation in Recruitment award at the 2024 Career Development Roundtable (CDR).

The session will provide details on the mechanism and talk about how this could be applied to the UN System at large.

Custom GPTs in Action: Smarter Workflows for the UN: This side event will demonstrate how custom GPTs can transform UN workflows, communication, and knowledge creation—no coding required. Participants will explore real UN use cases, including UN Style GPT, TFGBV GPT, and UN Women’s Humanitarian GPT and learn how to design their own AI tools using a step-by-step guide. The session highlights how GPTs empower non-technical staff, enhance productivity, and maintain UN standards—while addressing critical considerations around security, privacy, and ethical use.
