This side event will centre Indigenous Peoples’ experiences and solutions for advancing SDG 7 Affordable and Clean Energy, with particular emphasis on Indigenous women and youth in shaping a just and equitable energy transition. It will launch the publication Voices of Indigenous Women and Youth for a Just and Sustainable Energy Transition, drawing on outcomes from the 2024 Regional Conference on a Just and Sustainable Energy Transition, and will connect these findings to broader regional and global dialogues on Indigenous rights, gender equality, and community-led renewable energy approaches.
