Fusing human rights and economic policymaking, this evidence-based report provides the key elements for a far-reaching new policy agenda, with key recommendations on moving towards an economy that truly works for women, for the benefit of all.

The Progress of the World’s Women report will be presented to members of the press by Chief of UN Women’s Research and Data Section, Shahrashoub Razavi; Economist of The Jawaharlal Nehru University, Professor Jayati Ghosh, and Women’s Empowerment Advisor of UN Women Asia and the Pacific, Francisco Cos Montiel, moderated by Asia-Pacific Regional Director and Representative in Thailand, Roberta Clarke.

There have been six editions of Progress since 2000. Other launch events are expected to take place in Mexico City, Nairobi, Bangkok, Alexandria and Sydney.
