UN Women and the International Muaythai Federations are joining forces in a new partnership to that will work with young people around the world to promote gender equality, challenge harmful ideas of masculinities and end violence against women.

A nation cannot prosper, cannot reach its full potential unless girls and women are empowered economically, politically and are free from any kind of violence.

The global pandemic of violence against women and girls thrives in a culture of discrimination and impunity. We must speak out. That is why I launched my global UNiTE to End Violence against Women campaign.
