Rockcheck Puji Foundation and UN Women reach cooperation with intention to support women recover from COVID-19

The Rockcheck Puji Foundation signed a Memorandum of Understanding with UN Women on 8 March 2020 and reach cooperation with intention to establish a programme to support women recover from COVID-19. Gender perspective is indispensable in humanitarian actions including health emergencies like COVID-19. Existing evidence show that women are more vulnerable, more likely to fall into poverty and lack access to information and resources for recovery.

[Prress release] Netflix and UN Women today launched “Because She Watched”, a special Netflix collection of series, documentaries, and films to celebrate International Women’s Day. “This collaboration is about taking on the challenge of telling women’s stories and showing women in all their diversity. It's about making visible the invisible, and proving that only by fully representing and including women on screen, behind-the-camera and in our narratives overall, society will truly flourish,” said Anita Bhatia, UN Women Deputy Executive Director. Thai designer raises funds to help refugee women and girls

Leading Thai designer and entertainer Vatanika Patamasingh hosted a gala event to raise funds for the life-changing work of UN Women supporting women and girls living in refugee camps in Cox’s Bazaar, Bangladesh. Actors, journalists and CEOs of Thai and Chinese businesses were among the about 60 people who attended the 26 June gala dinner in Bangkok that Vatanika hosted to celebrate the responses to her donation drive and to raise awareness about UN Women’s work in Cox’s Bazar.
