Say it Loud: Pacific Voices for Women and Girls

International Women’s Day 2026 | Rights. Justice. Action. For ALL Women and Girls.

This International Women’s Day, we’re inviting people across the Pacific to share, through poetry, spoken word, or song, what fairness, dignity, safety, freedom and opportunity for women and girls really looks like in their lives.

Submit one original creative piece and be part of a Pacific-wide call for voices, truth, and action for gender equality.

Who Can Apply (Eligibility)

This call-out is open to:

• Citizens living across the 14 Pacific Island Countries and Territories covered by UN Women Fiji Multi-Country Office (MCO) (Fiji, Solomon Islands, The Republic of Marshall Islands, Palau, Kiribati, Samoa, Tuvalu, Tonga, Vanuatu, Federated States of Micronesia, Nauru, Tokelau, Niue, Cook Islands)
• Participants may submit as individuals or as a group (up to 5 members) Open to all.

Creative Categories

You may submit one (1) entry in one of the following categories:

• Poetry / Spoken Word
• Song

How to Submit

Submissions must be received by 20 February 2026 via one of the following channels:

1) Online Submission Form (Preferred)

Submit on the online form here. (For audio/video submissions, upload your file to your preferred platform and include a public link in the form.)

2) Email Submission

Please include your name/group name and members, contact, name of the piece, country, category, and either a link to your work or an attached file.

3) Facebook Messenger Submission

Judging Criteria

Submissions will be assessed using the following criteria:

• Relevance to IWD theme (25%)
• Originality & creativity (20%)
• Impact & emotional resonance (20%)
• Artistic quality & structure (20%)
• Authenticity & voice (15%)
