UN Women Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific, ESCAP and UNDP, are jointly convening an Asia-Pacific Regional Seminar on “Transformative financing for the achievement of the gender equality by 2030”, in preparation for the 60^th session of Committee on the Status of Women to be held in New York in March 2016. The Seminar will take place at the United Nations Conference Centre in Bangkok on 18-19^th February 2016. The overall objective of the Seminar is to bring together Asian and Pacific Members States, multi-lateral and bi-lateral partners, practitioners and technical experts to share and deepen knowledge on aspects of financing for gender equality and propose recommendations for enhancing attention to, and investment in, financing for gender equality, including in the context of the Sustainable Development Goals.
