The Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) was ratified by the Royal Government of Cambodia (RGC) in 1992. As a state party to CEDAW, the Royal Government of Cambodia is obliged to submit a periodic report to the CEDAW Committee on the measures being taken in Cambodia to promote gender equality and protect women's human rights and the challenges still being faced.

On 8 October 2013 the CEDAW Committee will review the second combined (4th and 5th) periodic reports of the RGC. This review will take place by way of an interactive dialogue between the CEDAW Committee and RGC delegates, which will be webcast on www.treatybodywebcast.org. The webcast is likely to be broadcast between 3pm and 11pm Cambodian time.

More information, including the report to be presented by the Government delegation from Cambodia, can be accessed via the following links: http://www2.ohchr.org/english/bodies/cedaw/cedaws56.htm
