UN Women Chief leads Philippines dialogue on “Economies that Work for Women”

UN Women Philippines, in cooperation with the Philippine Commission on Women, is organizing a High-Level Dialogue on ‘Economies that Work for Women’ in conjunction with the visit of United Nations Under-Secretary-General and UN Women Executive Director Ms. Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka.

The Dialogue will provide an opportunity to discuss the research and recommendations of UN Women’s Flagship Report, Progress of the World’s Women (POWW) 2015-2016: Transforming Economies, Realizing Rights. UN Women’s report brings together human rights and economic policymaking and provides the key elements for a far reaching new policy agenda that can transform economies and make women’s rights a reality. It includes Asia- Pacific-specific data and evidence based analysis and provides recommendations on moving towards an economy that truly works for women, to the benefit of all.
