Timor-Leste celebrated UN Day by staging an open to the public interactive theater production

Date:

UN Women Timor-Leste celebrated UN Day by staging an open to the public interactive theater production with UNDP and the Ministry of Social Solidarity. The production focused on ending domestic violence, one of the most reported crimes in the country, and took place outside the National Stadium, where the UN soccer teams played against the National Police. The UN Women outreach team also set up camp in front of the National Stadium and shared public information materials in English and local languages with passers-by to engage those who may not always have access to information about gender equality.
