Strengthening Women’s Leadership and Participation in the Bangsamoro: A Training Kit

Image

In mid-2016, 134 women leaders underwent training on the cross-cutting themes of gender, peace and governance to strengthen their existing leadership capacities and enable them to lead and participate in their respective communities. This training kit is the compilation of the various sessions conducted with the women leaders, aimed at reflecting and analyzing their journeys based on their various contexts and realities in the Bangsamoro. It includes sessions on maximizing existing opportunities such as policies, mechanisms, programs and services which women leaders may tap towards meaningful participation and leadership. It also provides alternative or supplemental sessions and some pointers for easier training delivery and learning of intended participants. This knowledge product was developed by UN Women, in partnership with various women and peace practitioners and organizations in the Bangsamoro, and supported by the Peace Building Fund (PBF).
