Valencia CF promotes HeForShe in China

In their recent visit to Beijing, China, the Valencia Club de Fútbol (CF) supported gender equality inside and outside the field.
The players of the prestigious football club, took the opportunity to show their support for gender equality by holding a huge HeForShe banner right after their friendly match with the Bayern Munich team at the Bird’s Nest Olympic Stadium.
One of the superstars of the team, Shkodran Mustafi, said “Valencia CF has a very young team and for us equal treatment between men and women is taken as normal, but we know that in many countries men need to support women in the quest to achieve equality. Every time we go onto the pitch, we know we are fighting for more than just the three points or the victory –we are fighting for women around the world."
These activities are part of the recently signed partnership between UN Women and Valencia CF to promote gender equality and the empowerment of girls and women around the world.
