It aims to develop a clearer understanding of the social protection issues facing female tea gardens workers while also leveraging gender-responsive planning and budgeting (GRPB) as a tool to ensure that national policies, plans and strategies are responsive to the immediate and long-term needs of tea garden workers and their family members. This brief will help stakeholders formulate workable strategies to develop gender-responsive plans, projects and programmes at the local or national level and to allocate the necessary budgets for the effective implementation of those strategies.
