In Thailand, the programme supported the analysis of existing systems for the provisions of legal aid to improve access to justice for excluded women. A collaboration between women’s NGOs, Foundation for Women, the National Human Rights Commission, the Law Reform Council of Thailand and Teeranat Kanjanauksorn Foundation supports and promotes women’s access to justice in southern Thailand includes national research and recommendation on access to justice and the development of the CEDAW indicators. Series of national capacity building workshops on the use of CEDAW and international frameworks are held to support the Commission in advancing de facto equality for women, in line with CEDAW.
