This roundtable will deepen this discussion and identify how investments in transforming care systems can be a lever of change to advance women’s economic empowerment.
The discussion will build on the Global UN policy paper ‘Transforming Care Systems in the Context of the Sustainable Development Goals and Our Common Agenda,’ offering a practical framework and policy options for comprehensive care systems. To stimulate a regional dialogue, it is inspired by UN Women’s convened TRANSFORMCARE INVESTMENT INITIATIVE ASIA-PACIFIC (TCII-AP) and will discuss how catalytic investments, innovative multistakeholder collaboration, and partnerships can yield transformative economic and social development outcomes for women and girls, economy and societies at large.
