In India and Nepal, a Regional Programme called ‘No Women, No Peace’ will help to promote the socio-economic rights of women in conflict areas of South Asia. The programme will minimize the exploitation of women.

In Nepal, UN Women worked with women’s groups to advocate for their equal representation in the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) and the Constituent Assembly. Nepal now also has a National Action Plan (NAP) 1325 with support from UN Women, civil society partners and the Government of Nepal.
