Our Journey to EmPower: Women for Climate-Resilient Societies

Asia-Pacific is one of the most vulnerable regions in the world to the impacts of climate change, especially for women and marginalized groups who are disproportionately impacted by its effects.

This is why in 2018, UN Women and UNEP brought their expertise together to develop the EmPower: Women for Climate-Resilient Societies project. Funded by the Swedish International Cooperation Agency (Sida) and supported by our partners, our mission is to support women in building resilience to climate change.

Since EmPower was created, we have made significant progress, bringing our vision for the future into focus.
