Manual on Gender Equality and Social Inclusion and Gender Responsive Budgeting
To strengthens capacities of class II and class III officers of the federal government, a manual on Gender Equality Social Inclusion (GESI) and Gender Responsive Budget (GRB) was developed by Nepal Administrative Staff College (NASC) in collaboration with, and with technical support from, UN Women. The manual is the first of its kind, as it brings together two distinct concepts of GRB and GESI and demonstrates how GRB can be used as a tool for advancing GESI in the evolving federal context of Nepal. The Manual was launched by a high level panel that included Mr. Shanta Raj Subedi, Chairperson of National Inclusion Commission, Mr. Chandra Kumar Ghimire, Secretary, Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizens (MoWCSC), leading feminist Dr Meena Acharya, GESI GRB expert, and Khum Raj Punjali, Deputy Executive Director of NASC. There were remarks by H.E. Pertti Anttinen, Ambassador of Finland to Nepal, Ms. Gitanjali Singh, Deputy Representative of UN Women Nepal and Ms. Kamal Nayan Pradhan, Senior Director of Studies, NASC.
