UN Women, in partnership with Quilt.ai, developed the Tipsheet for civil society organizations and service providers who run social media channels. It targets organizations that are reaching out to survivors of violence against women, including women migrant workers. The Tipsheet includes practical sets of DOs and DON'T for social media posts, with things to consider for images and hashtags that often go with text blubs. It is designed in a practical way for CSOs to apply the suggested tips to their online campaigns to enhance online engagement with the public and survivors, and online visibility on ending violence against women. This Tipsheet was developed as part of the Safe and Fair Programme: Realizing women migrant workers’ rights and opportunities in the ASEAN region (2018–2023). Safe and Fair is part of the multi-year EU-UN Spotlight Initiative to Eliminate Violence Against Women and Girls, funded by the European Union, and is implemented by ILO and UN Women in collaboration with UNODC. It delivers technical assistance and support with the overall objective of making labour migration safe and fair for all women in the ASEAN region.
