Practical Guidance on Developing an Assessment Report on the State of Gender Equality and Climate Change
This practical guidance publication is based on six national and regional assessment reports on the state of gender equality and climate change developed under the project entitled “EmPower : Women for Climate Resilient Societies (2018–2022)”. EmPower is a signatory initiative jointly led by the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) with a focus on three countries in the Asia-Pacific region – Bangladesh, Cambodia and Viet Nam, supported by the Swedish International Development CooperationAgency (Sida).
This practical guidance document was developed for stakeholders wishing to conduct an assessment of gender equality and climate change, to meet the critical need for data on the gender-environment nexus and ensure that climate action contributes towards achieving gender equality.
