Domestic Workers Rap - Protecting Migrant Domestic Workers: Enhancing their development potential

Representatives from government agencies, civil society organizations including MFA, IDWN, APWLD and MMN, ILO and UN WOMEN performed Domestic Workers Rap entitled "Protecting Migrant Domestic Workers: Enhancing their development potential" as part of a side event during the Asia Pacific Regional Preparatory Meeting for the General Assembly High Level Dialogue on Migration and Development at United Nations Conference Centre, Bangkok, Thailand on 31st May 2013. The Domestic Workers Rap calls for the Governments to recognize domestic workers' social and economic contribution, promote and protect their rights, improve their working conditions, and most importantly RATIFY THE ILO CONVENTION 189 on Decent Work for Domestic Workers.
