UN Women Executive Director speaks with Vietnamese high schoolers about gender-based violence

During her three-day visit to Viet Nam in late March 2014, UN Women Executive Director Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka visited the historic 105-year-old Chu Van An High School to speak about ending gender-based violence. Ms. Mlambo-Ngcuka urged the roughly 450 students who engaged in the 90-minute dialogue to know their rights, as well as where to find assistance if they are subjected to or witness violence against women and girls.
