#SecondChanceIndia | Anju Salvi

In 2018, UN Women initiated the development of a Second Chance Education and Vocational Learning (SCE) programme that would provide marginalized women who have lost out on education with pathways to employment through a tailored learn-to-earn approach. Despite the increasing investments in access to quality education and specifically girls’ education, half a billion women are still illiterate worldwide.Anju Salvi is our SCE on-ground educator. She has enrolled 90+ students into the programme, whilst being a hands-on teacher and forever learner. We, at UN Women, salute women like Anju, who stride tirelessly towards a more gender-equal world!
