Responsible Representation and Reporting of Violence against Women and Children
Guidelines on Responsible Representation and Reporting of Violence against Women and Children for the media will assist in deepening the understanding of journalists and editors of stereotypical and harmful gender stereotypes- including victim-blaming, which can be perpetuated through media messages. This guidance was developed by UNFPA, UNICEF, and UN Women in the Asia-Pacific region as an output of a joint working group to enhance and prioritize messaging and communications on violence against women and violence against children amid and in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic.
