Women’s leadership for waste management in Sri Lanka

"Promoting Women’s Engagement in Effective Solid Waste Management" in Sri Lanka is a ​project funded by the UN Peacebuilding Fund. It takes an innovative approach to peacebuilding by bringing communities together to provide a sustainable solution for a ​shared environmental issue, with women at the forefront.​The project focuses on empowering women by supporting their engagement in governance ​mechanisms and community resilience initiatives.
