Strengthen Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda in Indonesia through RAN P3AKS II
[Bahasa Indonesia with English subtitle]"Strengthen protection, participation and empowerment of women and children in social conflicts in Indonesia through RAN P3AKS II"Women and children are disproportionately impacted by social conflict. In addition, the role of women as agents of peace is often neglected. To further strengthen women’s roles in promoting and sustaining peace, in 2021, Indonesia launched its second generation of National Action Plan for the Protection and Empowerment of Women and Children in Social Conflict (RAN P3AKS). The second RAN P3AKS demonstrates Indonesia’s strong commitment to the UN Security Council Resolution 1325 (2000) on Women, Peace and Security. Together with the civil society, academia, and women’s groups, UN Women will continue to support the Government of Indonesia in the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the RAN P3AKS II. Watch this animation video to learn more about the added focus areas in the second generation of RAN P3AKS, as well as how we can work together to ensure a more effective implementation!
