Empowering Women in the Workplace, Marketplace, and Community

Since 2019, WeEmpower Asia, a UN Women programme funded by and in partnership with the European Union, has strengthened its engagement with the government, businesses, and organizations in Indonesia to invest in women’s economic empowerment. Currently, 158 companies have signed and carried out the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs), guidance for businesses to empower women and advance equality in the workplace, marketplace, and community. More than 280 women entrepreneurs and women-owned businesses have been supported to access capital financing and embed WEPs in their business operations. Learn more: https://indonesia.unwomen.org
