UN Women Afghanistan Country Office works with its local partners, particularly the Afghan Ministry of Women Affairs (MoWA) to improve the lives of Afghan women and girls. In 2014, Afghanistan Country Office will jointly commemorate the International Women’s Day with MOWA in capital Kabul and 11 provinces of Parwan, Bamyan, Baghlan, Daikundi, Balkh, Heart, Nangarhar, Sare Pul, Kapisa, Kunar and Badakhshan. Meanwhile, the partnership will support broadcasting of TV spots related to women’s issues through local TVs. The broadest possible outreach will be achieved by raising public awareness on women’s rights and responsibilities.
