HeForShe Concert to celebrate International Women’s Day in Cambodia

Cambodia will mark International Women’s Day with a Khmer pop music concert and a digital campaign inspired in the HeForShe initiative, a global movement inviting men and people of all genders to stand in solidarity with women to create a bold, visible and united force for a gender equal world.

The event, organized by Baramey Productions in collaboration with the United Nations in Cambodia and other partners, will consist of a live concert in Siem Reap on 8th of March 2020 with 2 hours of the show televised nationwide and streamed on Facebook Live. The concert will feature renowned Cambodian singers and influencers such as Laura Mam, DJ NaNa, Kmeng Khmer and Vann Da.

In addition, the commemoration will include a digital campaign highlighting key messages on gender equality through music videos and social media content.

Created by UN Women, the HeForShe solidarity movement for gender equality provides a systematic approach and targeted platform where a global audience can engage and become change agents for the achievement of gender equality in our lifetime.
