On 26 September, the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) will host a panel session on "Energy and Gender Nexus – Road to the New Phase of ASEAN Plan of Action for Energy Cooperation (APAEC)" during the 24th ASEAN Energy Business Forum (AEBF) in Vientiane, Lao People's Democratic Republic. The AEBF is hosted by the Ministry of Energy and Mines of Lao People's Democratic Republic, co-organized by the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE), with Dyandra Promosindo. The session, co-organized with ACE and Oxfam, will focus on gender mainstreaming within ASEAN’s key energy blueprint (APAEC) and will include discussions on gender and energy data, women’s representation in decision-making, and capacity building.
