Gender-Based Violence Kick-off Event
In collaboration with other UN agencies, we aim to amplify success storiesdemonstrating violence against women and girls are preventable. The event will feature stories ofsurvivors of violence and activists in different creative forms. The creative forms of stories includeKathak dance performances depicting the life struggles of victims of gender-based violence as well asactivist Gauri Devi Bista by Subima Shrestha and story narration of a survivor of acid / burn violence.

Orangaing of key landscapes
Oranging of Dharara and key areas of Patan Darbar Square on 25th November. Boththe landscapes will light up in orange at the same time and there will be key message on ending violenceagainst women and girls displayed. There will also be banners around the key landscapes explaining what16 days is, why ornaging the world and stating immediate call for action to end gender-based violence. Ascreen in Patan Darbar Square will show live how Dharara is lit up in orange for the audience in-personto see.

In collaboration with UN Youth Task Force organize a series of dialogues engaging the youth.

Lend a hand to end GBV
In collaboration with UN Agencies - “Lend a hand to end Gender-Based Violence” campaign which includes collecting handprints of those who have been survivors of any forms of violence in empty canvases placed in educational institutions across Nepal. The handprint will be a symbol of solidarity to stop GBV. There will be a volunteer to explain the call for action/note explaining. The completed canvas will be turned into a digital mural and will be showcased at the closing event.
