As the world commemorates the 20th Anniversary of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 in 2020, this timeline offers a snapshot of a few among the many contributions women have made in shaping Timor-Leste from 1974-2020. Developed through a collaboration between Timor-Leste’s Secretary of State for Equality and Inclusion, Centro Nacional Chega! and UN Women, and with the generous financial support of the Government of Japan, we hope it inspires more stories to be captured and shared for generations to come.
