Beijing+30 Civil Society Steering Committee

Beijing+30 Civil Society Steering Committee

Following a call for applications, UN Women Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) established the Beijing+30 Civil Society Steering Committee in June 2024, comprising 13 feminist civil society organizations representing various constituents in the region.

The Committee aims to ensure effective engagement of regional and national women’s rights organizations and civil society groups in the regional review process of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, leading up to the global review and sixty-ninth session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69). The Committee will input into the review process, organize virtual consultations and a CSO Forum as part of the regional review and facilitate the engagement of civil society organizations to drive meaningful change.
